The first of 5 days fishing in Loreto Baja Mexico is in the books. It is hotter than heck here, in the high 90's with no where to hide on the water. The dorado are 25+ miles out and not much bigger than 10lbs so we stayed near shore today. We caught lots of these…I always thought they were a grouper but Francisco called them something I could not understand so…Joe had a ball catching them, he seemed to catch the same one no matter where we went. Same size, same color, same everything. The biggie of the day was Joe's striped pargo, a real beauty. I ended the day with a nice cabrilla to hand. Back at it tomorrow……………………Oh, the new ECHO EPR in 8wt and 10wt are a must for anyone's rod bag for Baja. Just killers when casting weighted lines and big flies, makes life easy.
